[ARCHIVED] Board Members Sought for Coquitlam Library Board

Coquitlam Public Library City Centre Branch

COQUITLAM, BC, Nov. 2, 2022 – Are you passionate about public library services, and interested in sharing your expertise to help shape library services in your community? Applications are currently being accepted for vacancies on the Coquitlam Library Board.

Guided by the Coquitlam Public Library mission to nurture joy in discovery by providing inviting, innovative spaces and services that promote learning and knowledge, the Library Board engages Coquitlam’s diverse communities and provides governance and oversight of public library services in Coquitlam.

If your values align with those of the library – openness, inclusion, respect, curiosity and love of learning – consider applying to join the Board before the Nov. 16 deadline. Selected applicants will serve on the Library Board for a two-year term from January 2023 to December 2024, or less, dependent on the vacancy being filled.

The Board typically meets on the fourth Wednesday of the month, except in March, August and December. This is a volunteer appointment and there is no remuneration for Board members.
