Spring! Winter may have its magic and charm but there’s nothing quite like the moment when the world begins to wake up and we see signs of new life in nature all around us. It is the start of the growing, budding, sprouting, blooming season; so pretty with spring bulbs and trees bursting with blossoms. Longer daylight hours and warmer weather offer the perfect opportunity to go out for an early evening walk and appreciate all the changes that spring brings.
Happy Nowruz! Nowruz marks new beginnings and the arrival of spring and rebirth of nature’s cycle. It is a time for family and friends to come together, reflect on the past and look to a brighter future. Nowruz is also a celebration of humanity’s rich cultural heritage and diversity. May this Nowruz fill your life with joy, good health and prosperity.
Spring registration is now open! Explore numerous opportunities to try a new activity, learn a new skill, or add some extra fun to your schedule. We are looking forward to welcoming you at the Pavilions!

COMMUNITY SERVICES
KAIROS Blanket Exercise
The KAIROS Blanket Exercise is an experiential workshop that explores the nation-to-nation relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Canada. The workshop helps people to understand how the colonization of this land impacts those who were here long before settlers arrived. It engages people’s minds and hearts in understanding why the relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples is often broken and how we can take action together.
This program is an experiential workshop and does not involve crafting. It may involve some discomfort, including remembering and discussing unpleasant events and experiences. The process may unintentionally evoke uncomfortable feelings and emotions. Please note that much of this session will involve standing in a circle, within proximity to others. If you require any accommodation or require more information on this program, please contact Community Services at communityservices@coquitlam.ca or 604-927-6076.
June 14, 2024 | 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. | Glen Pine Pavilion | $50.00
