The sanitary sewer between Austin Avenue and Rochester Avenue is being upgraded over the next three years. The new sewer will replace the existing, old sewer with a larger sewer to serve the increasing population in the area.
The project will be completed in phases.
Southwest Austin Heights Sewer Upgrades – Phase 2
The first phase of the Austin Heights sewer upgrade was completed in 2023. The City is planning to complete the second phase of the project in 2024, which will take place from 1412 Madore Avenue to 1324/1382 Charland Avenue.
The new sewer main will be installed within the City’s road allowance on Madore Avenue and Karp Court, and will then continue north through the City’s Statutory Right of Way to Charland Avenue.
