Single-lane alternating traffic will be in place (24/7) along Pipeline Road, just north of Dayanee Springs Boulevard / El Casa Court as Metro Vancouver completes underground storm main work. Work will take place starting February 17 for one month.

When: Tuesday, February 17 and will be ongoing for approximately one month (24/7)

Traffic Impacts:  Single-lane alternating traffic will be in place (24/7) for approximately 100 metres along Pipeline Road north of Dayanee Springs Boulevard/El Casa Court. Please plan extra time when using this route. Travel with caution through construction zones, watch for work crews and equipment, and obey all traffic personnel and signs, including construction speed limits. The City's contractor will be completing traffic signal work at the following intersections on Pipeline Road at: Dunkirk Avenue and Gabriola Drive. Work will be taking place on February 18 and 19, 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Plan alternate route to avoid delays.

What: Traffic Signal Commissioning 

Where: Intersection of Pipeline Road at Dunkirk Avenue and at Gabriola Drive (Location Map)

When: Wednesday, February 18 (Pipeline Road at Dunkirk Avenue) and Thursday, February 19 (Pipeline Road at Gabriola Drive). Work will take place during the hours between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.

Traffic Impacts: During this work, the intersection will be temporarily blacked out and will operate as a four-way stop configuration. Signage and traffic control personnel will be in place to direct pedestrians. Please plan an alternate route to avoid delays.

BC Hydro will be completing utility work along Guildford Way from Pacific Street to Pinetree Way on February 17 and 18, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Eastbound and westbound traffic will be limited to a single-lane along sections of Guildford Way.

What:  BC Hydro Utility Work 

Where: Guildford Way between Pacific Street and Pinetree Way (Location Map)

When: Tuesday, February 17 and Wednesday, February 18, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Traffic Impacts: During active construction, eastbound and westbound traffic will be limited to a single-lane along sections of Guildford Way.  Traffic control personnel will assist pedestrians and cyclists.  Please plan an alternate route to avoid delays or plan extra time when using this route.

Metro Vancouver will be starting work on the Stoney Creek Sewer Upgrade Project. The first phase of the project along Chapman Ave from Bole Crt and Gilroy Cres will start on January 12 and will be ongoing for 3-4 months, before moving to the next section.

What: Metro Vancouver Stoney Creek Sewer Upgrade Project - Phase 1

Where: Chapman Avenue between Bole Court and Gilroy Crescent (Location Map)

When: Construction will be starting the week of January 12, 2026. The first phase of the project starting at Chapman Avenue will take approximately 3-4 months to complete, and then will proceed down Gilroy Crescent in the next section.  

Traffic Impacts:  Traffic will be impacted.   Please plan an alternate route to avoid delays or plan extra time when using this route.

 What: Pipeline Road Upgrades - Construction Update

Where: Pipeline Road from Guildford Way to Gabriola Drive

When: Ongoing until early 2026 . Work will take place weekdays between the hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays between 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Traffic Impacts: At times, single lane alternating traffic will be in place, with possible turn restrictions at intersections. Pedestrian access will be maintained but there will be occasional detours. Please plan extra time when using this route or plan an alternate route to avoid delays.

The City's contractor will be completing underground work on Lincoln Ave, west of Pipeline Rd starting in mid-January for approximately three months. Crews will work Mon to Fri, 7 am to 7 pm., with potential Sat work. Traffic flow will be impacted.

What:  Water Main Work (Pressure Reducing Valve Upgrades)

Where: Lincoln Avenue, west of Pipeline Road  (Location Map)

When: Construction is scheduled to begin mid-January and will take approximately three months to complete (weather dependent). Majority of the work will take place Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., with potential Saturday work. There will be occasional night time work throughout the duration of the project. 

Traffic Impacts: During active construction, traffic will be limited to single lane so there will be occasional delays.  Please plan extra time when using this route or plan alternate route.
