July 19: Big Easy Funk Ensemble

Event Partner: Polygon Homes

Town Centre Park, 7 – 9 p.m.

Formed in East Van, the Big Easy Funk Ensemble is a band that pays homage to the rich musical traditions of New Orleans while infusing their own distinct West Coast flavor. Founded on a shared passion for the diverse sounds that have emerged from the heart of Louisiana, the ensemble brings to life the infectious rhythms and soulful melodies that define the New Orleans sound.

August 2: Dr. Strangelove

Event Partner: Anthem Properties

Town Centre Park, 7 – 9 p.m.

Known as Vancouver’s house band, Dr. Strangelove has been bringing joy to audiences one party song at a time for almost 30 years. You may remember them from The Roxy, where they were a staple on Granville Street for 14 years. They’ve gone on to play from Dubai to Florida, and continue to bring great music and good fun to every event they play.

August 16: Sebastian Gaskin

Blue Mountain Park, 7 – 9 p.m.

Intentionally genre amorphous, Sebastian Gaskin's music lends itself to a bold intuition and gut instinct. At once, it conjures the timeless spirit of Bill Withers and the musical virtuosity of John Mayer, with the mischievous wordplay of Post Malone and Pro Era.

September 6: Said the Whale

Event Partner: Jim Pattison Subaru Coquitlam

Town Centre Park, 6 – 9 p.m.

  • Etienne Siew (opening act, 6 – 7 p.m.): Etienne Siew is an alternative folk/roots artist, whose guitar melodies and lyrics paint a picturesque bridge between the beauty in B.C., and the listener. His deeply reflective narratives speak about the resilience and perseverance he has found, while pursuing his dreams as a singer-songwriter.
  • Said the Whale (headliner, 7:30 – 9 p.m.): Said The Whale have earned their place in the Canadian music pantheon. They’ve won a Juno Award, topped the alternative radio chart, and amassed a devoted base of fans who affectionately describe themselves as “SaidHeads” — all the while maintaining their resolute independent spirit.
