What is the Special Instructions box for on the Schedule Inspections screen?

The Special Instructions box can be used to provide additional helpful information regarding the inspection details, including construction and site information that may be unique to the scope of work that will assist the Building and Plumbing Official during the inspection. Some examples of special instructions are (this is not a complete list):

  • Afternoon (pm) inspection if possible
  • Approved plans, Engineers field review, forms survey on site
  • Dog in backyard
  • Drainage cavity mock-up only
  • DWV water test only
  • Engineer on-site in the morning
  • Excavation only
  • Footing formwork only
  • Morning (am) inspection if possible
  • Professional Engineer’s excavation and site safety report posted on site
  • Registered Professional Engineers field review on site
  • Safe access from street only
  • Safety orientation required
  • Stucco paper and wire only
  • Stucco scratch coat only
