Why is the Mundy Park Pool opening delayed?
The pool will not open as planned due to unexpected and unavoidable circumstances, largely construction delays.

What options are available for swimming in Coquitlam this summer?
Eagle Ridge Outdoor Pool
,
Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex
,
City Centre Aquatic Complex
and the
Coquitlam Bettie Allard YMCA
are all open for swimming.
Admission is free at Eagle Ridge Outdoor Pool until the end of the season.
Resident Access times and rates are available at the local YMCA for residents who do not have a membership.
More options to stay cool this summer include:
Spray Parks
Blue Mountain Wading Pool
Water play pop-up activities at local parks
Summer swim camps for kids

What are Water Play Pop-Ups, and where can I find their schedule?
Water Play Pop-Ups are fun activities like inflatable waterslides and relay games held at Coquitlam parks. Our recreation team is still finalizing some of the details and the schedule will added to
coquitlam.ca/StayAndPlay
.

How can I get the reduced-cost $10 Summer Child and Youth Pass?
The
Summer Child and Youth Pass
can be purchased at any Coquitlam
recreation facility
or over the phone by calling 604-927-4386.

What if I already purchased the Summer Pass for $25?
Current pass holders will be credited the $15 difference; funds will be credited to the recreation account for use towards a future registration or membership purchase.
To have a refund paid-out, please visit a City recreation facility, or call 604-927-4386.

What if I already purchased a pass using my Financial Assistance for Recreation (FAR) subsidy?
Staff will terminate your existing summer pass membership (with full refund) and re-issue for $10. The residual $15 will go back to the subsidy.

What are the resident access times at the Coquitlam Bettie Allard YMCA?
The City of Coquitlam has partnered with the YMCA to provide Coquitlam residents access to the Coquitlam Bettie Allard YMCA fitness and aquatic facilities at the City’s drop-in rates.
That means if you are a Coquitlam resident, you do not need a YMCA membership to access this facility.

Why is Spani Pool being renamed?
The pool is being renamed after its location within Mundy Park. This change will assist in wayfinding, making it easier for residents to find Coquitlam’s facilities by tying them to their geographical location.

Where will the Coquitlam Sharks swim if Spani is closed?
Coquitlam Sharks Aquatic Club training and competitions in all disciplines and age groups continue to be operated at City pools including Eagle Ridge Pool, City Centre Aquatic Complex, and Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex. Sharks will host both their annual “Sharks in the Park” swim meet and the BC Summer Swimming Association regional swim meet at Eagle Ridge Pool this summer.

The new Mundy Park Pool will open for the 2025 outdoor swim season.
