Baran Sabahi: The Nature of Her

The Nature of Her is a collection of paintings, which explore the deep, poetic relationship between women and the natural world. Each painting reflects a moment when daily life, emotion and environment merge; whether through the curve of a river, the warmth of sunlight, the presence of animals or the quiet beauty of the seasons. 

Through cubism forms and bright, modern palettes, the series The Nature of Her celebrates women as creators, nurturers, dreamers and storytellers. These works highlight the qualities of resilience, strength and harmony with the natural world. Together, this collection forms a visual narrative about social belonging, growth, identity and the power that women hold in every chapter of their lives.

About the Artist

Baran Sabahi is a Coquitlam-based visual artist specializing in digital and traditional media, with a background in graphic design and a deep passion for exploring themes of inclusion, diversity and cultural exchange. Sabahi creates art that balances her personal experiences and broader social and universal narratives. As an immigrant to Canada, Sabahi draws inspiration from her journey of adapting to a new environment, which is reflected in the thoughtful and evocative pieces that encourage dialogue about community and belonging.
