Gordon Thomson: Walking Through Nature

Walking Through Nature is inspired by the landscapes of the Tri-Cities and the West Coast. Rooted in realism, the work captures the land with a sense of honesty and intimacy. Each painting balances observation and memory, shaped by the artist’s deep familiarity with these environments. The collection invites viewers to pause, reflect, and experience the quiet presence of the natural world.

About the Artist

Gordon Thomson is a local visual artist specializing in acrylic and airbrush painting. He developed an interest in the visual arts at a young age and later completed the Foundations in Graphic Design and Illustration program at Capilano University under the instruction of Kiff Holland, Frank Molnar, and David Maclagan. Thomson also credits his early teachers, Craig Campbell and Lynda Faulks, for their kindness and guidance. While working in an unrelated field, he continues to paint. This exhibition draws inspiration from local walks with his wife and dog, Skip.
