Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex

  1. COVID-19 Update: Jan. 18, 2022

    As of Jan. 20, 2022 , weight rooms at Poirier Sport & Leisure Complex and City Centre Aquatic Complex will reopen to the public with pre-registered time blocks, distancing and capacity limits in place. Masks are required for all staff and patrons when not exercising. Registration will be open 48 hours in advance. Group fitness offerings will be evaluated over the coming days and adapted as necessary based on new requirements. At this time, both Glen Pine and Pinetree weight rooms will remain closed due to spacing requirements. 

    The City of Coquitlam operates within the requirements set out by the Provincial Health Officer and all current public health orders are followed including proof of vaccination requirements and mask mandates. Hours of Operation

  • Seven days a week, 6 a.m. – 10 p.m.

Note: The front desk closes 15 minutes prior to the facility closing.

Ages 13 to 18  (youth 13 – 15 require youth orientation*)
Monday to Friday, 3:30 – 8 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday, 10:30 a.m. – 8 p.m.

The Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex is a 190,000-square-foot aquatic, ice and fitness facility with:

  • Indoor fitness track - not available during ticketed events

  • Multipurpose rooms
  • Number of accessible features
  • Relaxation area with whirlpool 
  • Steam room and dry sauna 

Availability of amenities will vary during hours of operation. 

It offers a variety of ice skating, aquatic, fitness and dry floor programs, as well as pre-registered drop-in classes. It’s also home to the Coquitlam Sports Hall of Fame, great amateur, championship-level hockey and lacrosse, as well as a licensed café.
