The Economic Development Advisory Committee:

  • Provides a business perspective on economic development priorities which should be addressed
  • Identifies the pillars of economic development in the City
  • Identifies economic development impediments and opportunities for the City
  • Advises on business attraction and business retention and expansion activities
  • Advises on ways to provide information about business to the general public
  • Attends to economic development matters which may be referred to the Committee by Council or other standing committees of Council
