Produced by the City of Coquitlam, Lights at Lafarge is Metro Vancouver’s largest free outdoor winter lights display. Stay tuned to our website and social media channels for updates throughout the season. 

Season Kick-off Event: Friday, November 28, 5 – 8 p.m.

Kick off the season in style at Lights at Lafarge’s Opening Night Celebration! Stroll through the dazzling light displays, grab a bite from local food trucks, enjoy live entertainment, and soak up the festive vibes as the park comes alive with colour and music. It’s the perfect way to start the winter lights season — bright, joyful, and uniquely Coquitlam.

Come early or stay late to grab a bite to eat from the on-site food vendors serving from 5 to 9 p.m. Foodies can enjoy a variety of delicious options, with service on both sides of the lake. Enjoy warm beverages, comfort food and plant-based options.

Visitor Information

There is limited on-site parking  at Town Centre Park and, due to the popularity of this event, it can get busy. Visitors are encouraged to walk or take public transit.

If you’re driving to Town Centre Park, consult the the Town Centre Park parking map for other options and check the City’s digital parking counters to view real time parking availability. There are also additional parking lots around Coquitlam City Hall that can be accessed via Burlington Drive, as well as a TransLink Park and Ride lot located at the corner of Pinetree Way and Guildford Way.

There is no Lights at Lafarge parking permitted at the Town Centre Park Community Centre, Evergreen Cultural Centre, or City Centre Aquatic Complex.

Taking Public Transit to Lights at Lafarge
Lafarge Lake at Coquitlam's Town Centre Park is conveniently located near the SkyTrain to the Lafarge Lake-Douglas SkyTrain station. For bus options, use TransLink's Trip Planner.

Accessibility
Pathways are lit and user-friendly for visitors of all abilities. The 1.2-km trail is flat and mostly paved, accessible by strollers and mobility devices, although there is one section of finely packed gravel.

Washrooms

There are accessible washrooms located on the Pinetree Way side of the Lafarge Lake trail loop and near Parking Lot D next to the tennis courts. Washrooms in Town Centre Park Community Centre are also available during the facility's operating hours. 

Coquitlam's Lights at Lafarge will run until the end of February 2026. This season's outdoor exhibit features a 1.2-km pathway that includes more lights and re-imagined elements.

For the best viewing experience, consider planning your visit on weekdays or during off-peak hours (before 6 p.m. and after 8 p.m.). The lights are on from 4 - 11 p.m. daily.
