How to Get Involved

Coquitlam City Council values community input. There are several ways residents can forward concerns, suggestions and questions to Council.

Attend Council Meetings

All Regular Council Meetings are open to public attendance either in person or via our online broadcast. While Council does not hear from the public during Regular Council Meetings, there is an opportunity for residents to address questions to Council during Public Question Period, which takes place immediately following adjournment of a Regular Council Meeting.

As per Council Procedure Bylaw No. 5200, 2022, after any Regular Council Meeting is adjourned, a maximum of 15 minutes will be allotted for the public to ask Council questions related to any item on the agenda. Please note, the Public Question Period will be suspended 30 days prior to a general local election or by-election.

Submit Written Input

Make a written submission to Council or Committee about a matter on a meeting agenda or within the jurisdiction of the City. You may provide your submission via:

Your written submission must include your name and address. Please note that, in most instances, written and email correspondence addressed to Mayor and Council become public documents once received by the City.

Community Engagement
